Christine Dore Trant + GMS
Abstract artist Christine Dore Trant and I have teamed up to create a special collection of 14 original paintings, which will be available for purchase on christinedoretrant.com on April 19, 2022 at 12pm EDT. With antique frames sourced by me, the founder of Grandmillennial Shop, and original abstract art by Christine Dore Trant, these pieces disrupt the ideas that abstract art is just for modern, all-beige homes and antiques are only suited for homes built while Lincoln was president.
Christine Dore Trant and Grandmillennial Shop set the following intentions for this collection:
- Discover and source antique frames of varying textures and materials
- Curate a color palette reminiscent of the Medieval buildings of Rouen, France in keeping with the classic hues of grandmillennial style
- Incorporate each piece with its antique frame, literally blending the line between abstract art and antique collectible
- Challenge the ideas that abstract art is only for modern aesthetics and antiques are only for classic aesthetics
